About me
Erin is a veteran Secondary Science Teacher with Elk Island Catholic Schools in Sherwood Park, AB. She currently teaches Science 9 & 10 but has also taught Gr. 5-8 Science over her 20-year career. She holds a Master's Degree in Secondary Science Education in Assessment and Resource Development and has completed more than 6 years of postsecondary work. She was previously seconded to Alberta Education where she developed the Gr. 6 & 9 Science PAT’s and has also served as the Curriculum and Assessment Learning Coach with St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools. Over the years, Erin has also presented at numerous teacher conferences around Alberta. Having a strong background in Graphic Art & Design and Photography, Erin has a passion for developing resources and materials for her colleagues and classroom that focus on Assessment for Learning, study skills and forming positive work habits and strategies to help make learning more effective in the diverse classroom.
