About me

Amanda is a passionate educator who teaches Jr High STEM classes in both English and French in Beaumont. She isn't just a STEM educator, she's a spark igniting a passion for discovery. Through the power of project-based learning, she plunges her students into hands-on STEM adventures, seamlessly weaving in technology to make science not just a subject, but a living, breathing experience Alongside her colleague Julie Arsenault, Amanda is a proud recipient of the 2022 Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Achievement in STEM, the 2018 ATASC Outstanding Science Teacher Award and the 2021 LSF’s Earth Steward Teaching Award. Amanda is a CSA Canadian Space Ambassador, on the Board of Directors for Inside Education, the Division III Director for the ATA Science Council, a Let’s Talk Science Teacher Leader and an active public speaker/STEM consultant.
